We hate to be sexist about this, but let’s face it, women still face an uphill battle when it comes to rising to the corner office in payments companies. (Stars like Melissa Smith of WEX excluded of course!)
We’re looking to have an impact on that dynamic by hosting the first-ever Women in Payments Leadership Exchange at Card Forum & Expo. The half-day workshop and networking event will culminate with an awards ceremony for the women named to PaymentsSource’s 2014 Most Influential Women in Payments list. The workshop agenda will feature discussions with women from the “Most Influential” list as well as management and leadership development topics.
Are you a woman? Are you in payments? Get excited and get involved. Here are four things you can do this week to increase your engagement in the Women in Payments community:
- Nominate yourself or a senior female leader in your company to be honored as one of the Most Influential Women in Payments. The nomination process isn’t overly complex. Here’s the form.
- Check out last year’s list of honorees; be awed by their accomplishments.
- Take part in our survey about what kind of topics you’d like to hear about from your perspective as a women in payments.
- Buy your ticket! You can attend the Women in Payments Leadership Exchange either as part of Card Forum & Expo, or as a standalone event. Here’s a link to registration page.
